Garbage Village, a marginalized society keeping Cairo clean, their efforts unrecognized economically, politically, and most importantly socially. Zabaleen's unmet recycling and environmental approaches to fight poverty and marginalization gives them a unique identity, shaped by their informal settlement location, Mokattam, where the oldest of Cairo's limestone quarries exist, its historical significance, and their strive for survival.
